QUESTIONS TO ASK WHEN BUYING A BOOKMOBILE

How many volumes of books do you want your mobile outreach bookmobile to hold?

  • Do you want a gas, diesel, or electric chassis?

    • There are pros and limitations to all chassis. At Matthews Specialty Vehicles our team works to inform our customers of the pros and limitations of each option so that they are able to make the most qualified decision for their new mobile unit.

      • Gas chassis are a popular option as they typically have a lesser entry level for pricing and Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWRs) that are under the weight threshold for requiring a CDL to drive.

      • Diesel chassis are popular options as they typically have a longer useful life expectancy and higher GVWRs for heavy-duty builds.

      • As we continue to grow and push the boundaries of innovation we are able to build more eco-friendly, green vehicles. If an electric chassis is of interest to you, please reach out to one of our incredible sales representatives. They know every vehicle inside and out and would be more than happy to talk through this option with you.

    • Do you know of or have parking and set up locations for your vehicle?

      • Be sure to research beforehand your county and state’s protocols for being able to park and set up your specialty vehicle.

    • Do you have a budget?

    • Do you have a garage and if so how big is it? If the garage is too small where do you plan on storing/keeping the vehicle?

    • How long do you want this vehicle to be in your fleet? What are you hoping the ROI (return on investment) will be on this vehicle?

    • Do you understand the proper EPA regulations and compliances for your vehicle in each state?

    • How do I get funding for my mobile outreach bookmobile?
